The Hearing and Speech Center Programs Depend on Donations.
Thank you to each and every person who has made a donation. Every gift matters! Your generosity allows the Hearing and Speech Center to keep its doors open. It is a community effort, and we welcome you as part of our community!

Gifts of Stock
The Hearing and Speech Center welcomes gifts of stock. To donate stock, please contact our finance office at finance@hearingspeech.org or (415) 921-7658, or send us a stock donation form. Our staff will provide you with detailed account information for the transfer.
An acknowledgement of your gift will be sent after the transfer has been confirmed. The value of your gift is calculated by using an average of the high and low prices of the security on the date that it enters our account.
Matching Gifts
Your gift could be doubled! Many employers match the gifts their employees make to nonprofit organizations. Don’t forget to check with your employer to find out if your donation could be matched! Your human resources department can give you information and matching gift forms.
Promote the Center
Donations in lieu of gifts – Avoid getting one more white elephant gift and get a sense of community instead. At your next special occasion –birthday, anniversary, etc. – ask your friends and family to donate to the Hearing and Speech Center. You’ll receive a notification of gifts made in your name.
Have a House Party – The best way to spread the word about the good work of the Hearing and Speech Center is to tell them! Host a party for friends and neighbors, and the Hearing and Speech Center development staff will arrange a casual presentation on the work of the center and stories of success. To learn more contact development@hearingspeech.org.
Leave a Legacy
A planned gift is simply a gift from a donor who has provided for the Hearing and Speech Center through some form of estate planning. There are many options for creating this kind of legacy gift, many of which have considerable benefits for the donor.
Many donors choose to simply include the Hearing and Speech Center through a bequest (a gift of cash or property left through a will) or charitable remainder trusts (a gift through a trust agreement established while the donor is still alive). In addition, donors can establish planned gifts by naming the Hearing and Speech Center as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or a retirement plan.
This thoughtful act, which has little or no current financial impact on you, may result in the largest and most lasting one-time gift you ever make to the Center.
Individuals who notify the Hearing and Speech Center that they have arranged for a planned gift become members of our Legacy Society. Before making your estate plans, you should consult with a qualified estate planner, financial planner and/or attorney.
